RFU School Rugby Manager (SRM)

Alastair Rigden is RFU School Rugby Manager for South East Essex specifically covering Basildon, Castle Point, Rochford & Southend. The focus of this role is to grow the game via fun T1 Rugby Festivals for Primary & Secondary Schools and RFU CPD courses to embed rugby in schools. He also works hard on helping local rugby clubs to set up their T1 Rugby offering as it's essential they align with the local schools work.

What is T1 Rugby? In short, it’s World Rugby’s new official non-contact version of the game. As such England Rugby proactively promotes it across both schools and clubs in order to engage as many people as possible with the game!
